Are there any AFS programs for adults or for students after high school including gap year programs?
Yes! AFSNext is our catalogue of programs for travelers 18+ focused on volunteering, interning, teaching, or studying abroad for college credit. We provide a consultative service for helping people find the experience that’s best for them, and put our 70 years of experience and stamp of approval behind the ones we offer. Some programs are more tailored to college-age or young professionals, while others are better for more mature adults. AFSNext programs focus on such things as environmental conservation, community development, health, education, and female empowerment to name just a few. Learn more at http://www.afsusa.org/afs-next/ or contact [email protected] or 877-AFS-NEXT.
In addition, some of our traditional high school programs accept students who have already graduated in the U.S. The Sending Programs Report lists these programs.
