This article explains where to find individual Medical and Student ID cards in MyAFS as well as how to print cards for multiple students in Global Link.
Please keep in mind that the Medical ID card should NOT be shared with host parents before a student's arrival. Thank you!
Students are provided Student ID cards in their home countries before they depart. We ask each team to please be prepared to print and provide cards to students in the event they were lost or forgotten before their departure. AFS-USA will print new cards for every student to be mailed directly to the host parents after all students have arrived in the U.S.
Medical and Student ID cards are available in the Team widget on MyAFS on the student detail page here:
To print Medical or ID cards for multiple students at one time, go to the Hosted Participant section of Global Link, choose your Area Team, and Search.
Check the students whose cards you want to print and then select Next.
In the pop-up box that appears, select that you want to Print USA ID Cards (or Print USA Medical Cards) and OK. Please note that the ID cards contain the needed medical information.
Next, you will choose to Download to PDF, which will download all the cards into one file for you to print.
The default is to print one per page. If you wish to print more than one on a page, please note that the print will be smaller. But if you would prefer wallet-sized cards, when you go to print the document, choose multiple cards per page, with 3 per page under Custom (1 x 3) for a portrait view:
