The Volunteer Welcome Widget is meant to track the volunteer registration process and help ensure that new volunteers are welcomed and integrated into your team. A short video tutorial is available here.
In the Applicants screen of the widget, you can view a volunteer applicant’s information, check their volunteer registration status, and manage their volunteer interview. A volunteer interviewer in your team should claim and schedule the volunteer interview within 7 days of a started application and complete it within 7 additional days. The goal of the Applicants screen is to make sure that volunteer applicants complete the volunteer registration process within 30 days. Once registered, an applicant moves to the New Volunteers screen.
New Volunteers Screen
The New Volunteers Screen of the widget is where any volunteer can go to find new volunteers to welcome into the team! This screen shows newly-registered volunteers, how many days they have been registered, their contact information, whether or not they are or have been interested in becoming a host family, and whether or not they have indicated interest in the liaison role. The goal of the New Volunteers screen is for a volunteer in your team to reach out to every new person to welcome them into the team within 60 days of their registration. Once an established volunteer has made a welcome contact with the new volunteer, they can add details about the interaction by clicking the orange "Add" button, and the information will be logged in the new volunteer's contact log.
