Area Team Chairs can identify their NH21 Arrival Orientation Coordinator and Travel Representative and ensure they have the appropriate “Hosting Arrival Orientation Coordinator” and “Travel Representative” affiliation in Global Link.
In July 2021, training for Travel Representatives was conducted – recordings of the training sessions (delivered by geographical area) can be found here.
Each Area Team receiving NH21 participants can identify an Arrival Orientation Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating the arrival of NH21 participants and delivery of Area Team participants’ Arrival Orientation (a Department of State program requirement).
The Travel Representative will work closely with the Hosting Arrival Orientation Coordinator to schedule volunteers to meet students and/or host families for pick up. The Travel Rep will also work closely with AFS-USA Travel and Logistics staff prior to arrivals and especially on the days of travel.
