Any school with an international club or any club referred to as an AFS club will benefit from having access to the AFS Intercultural Club Toolkit. This toolkit provides resources and ideas for up to two club meetings per month plus a bundle of extra activities and topics so club sponsors can save time by utilizing this AFS resource.
If your school does not have any sort of international club, this toolkit can help make the creation of one much more manageable for a willing teacher or for some AFS exchange students or returnees who are willing to help get one started. Inside the toolkit, the basic steps to start a club as well as promote a club are included and are easy to follow and use!
This is a great resource for any AFS volunteer to know about because it can be easily mentioned in conversations with teachers, counselors, and school leaders as something that AFS offers to its schools to help them fulfill their global missions.
This resource will be placed on the AFS-USA website in the Classroom Resources section, but can also be accessed and shared with educators using this link.
