Important Changes to the AFS Participant Medical Plan in 2025
As of January 1, 2025, the AFS Medical Plan will change service providers. Click here for more information on these changes, and please review the above articles for updated guidance to AFS-USA host families.
Going to the Doctor
Please refer to the guidance provided to host parents on the Help and Learning for Host Families Platform for more information on what to do if a student is ill and needs medical attention.
If a participant needs to see a doctor, please ensure that they bring their Medical ID card to the appointment. The Medical ID card contains a participant's ID number and the insurance billing information.
