Once you have claimed an applicant in MyAFS you will reach out to connect with them so you can complete the interview section of the application. The standard practice is to try at least three times over the course of a few weeks to connect with the applicant using several types of outreaches; Phone call, Texting, and Email.
What can be done once you have exhausted your outreach efforts, and the person has not responded?
1. Go to the Volunteer Welcome Widget in MyAFS
2. To remove a non-responsive volunteer applicant, you can click the X to ask that they be removed from the list of potential volunteers. This lets staff know there is a volunteer applicant to remove from your team‘s interview list.
