Key Steps for running effective meetings:
• Be organized. Utilize online schedulers to choose convenient times and locations for members then start and end on time.
• Define the purpose and goals. Be sure team members understand what needs to be accomplished. Have an agenda, a leader, and a note-taker.
• Make people feel welcome. Assign a greeter and offer nametags at in-person meetings. Welcome callers as they join phone meetings. Give each person a chance to speak, and really LISTEN to what they have to say.
• Clarify action items and next steps. List action items in the notes and share with everyone who was invited to the meeting. Taking this step keeps people informed and creates more accountability. Consider using the Task-Based Management model to get more people involved in team activities
