The Intercultural Learning (ICL) at School Teacher Training Manual provides AFS
organizations suggested agendas and recommended learning session outlines
(LSOs) for delivering a training course for teachers. This course helps teachers
develop intercultural competences and to prepares them to use the Toolbox for
Intercultural Learning at School with their students.
This training course and the Toolbox for Intercultural Learning at School are part of
the Intercultural Learning for Teachers and Pupils project which aims to provide
secondary school teachers and educators of the non-formal education sector (such
as AFS volunteers and staff) with new methods and tools to promote intercultural
dialogue, in order to prepare pupils for living in diverse societies and working in a
global labor market.
