Focus on Schools Webinar

Hosting 2.0
In this hour-long video AFS volunteers and staff shared best practices on making successful hosting calls, finding and reading student and host family applications, deciphering program codes, entering placement requests, and sending electronic PAFs.
Host Family Orientation

Inbound Sponsored Programs
This one-hour webinar from July 2019 provides an overview of our Government-Sponsored hosting programs including:
- how these students are selected
- techniques for promoting these awesome students
- special considerations when securing and orienting host families
- how Sponsored Programs funds work for teams and host families

This 40-minute webinar from August 2019 shares success stories of how teams across the country have overcome the challenges of using Welcome Families. It also share some tips and tricks for matching students and families to help reduce support issues and also ensure each student has a family.
