Before you first meet your assigned AFS student and host family, you may want to learn about them by reviewing their AFS applications.
To Find the Student's Application
Find the student in the MyAFS Team Directory and click on them:
Next, choose "View on Global Link" at the bottom of the next page:
On the Global Link page that opens, click on "View Application" here:
Next it is easiest to look for the "Printable Version" which is usually located on the left-hand side as shown in this example:
And then select to "Print all forms" by clicking on the red icon. Don't worry, it won't actually print anything, it will just download the student's application as a PDF.
Remember, that only fully screened host families and volunteers who have completed Department of State and Hosting & Support Affiliations training can view a student's full application.
To Find the Host Family's Application
You can find the host family in the MyAFS Team Directory either by looking up the student as shown above or by looking in the Host Families tab. Note that if the student is not in the U.S. yet, the family may appear under the subheading "Screened Families not Currently Hosting."
To get to the family's application, click on their name and then on "View on Global Link":
On the Global Link page that opens, click on "View Application" in the middle of the page, here:
On the next page you can review individual pages of the application or find the "Printable Version" to download a PDF of the application for review.
