Students want to be engaged as much as you do so your energy level while presenting will set the tone. Make sure you have previewed the slides before you go to do the presentation so you understand the content and the flow of the presentation. Know how much time you have to present so you can adjust your pace. Establish the norms in the room if the teacher doesn’t do that for you by letting students know if you want them to simply share out verbal responses during debriefing or if you want them to raise their hands. Have fun!
After you present, send a thank you card or email to the school champion that invited you into the school. Then, don’t forget to log your presentation as a “School Campaign” in Global Link as well so we can know how many students are reached through school presentations!
