Due to the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, student arrivals and departures, will be quite different during the 2020-21 program year. Before travel can be arranged, we must receive approval from AFS-International to host students in the US this fall, consulates must begin issuing visas again, and international flights must be readily available. Much of this is out of our control.
The current planned arrival date for this fall is September 10. All students will need to arrive no later than September 30, per US Department of State guidance. Requests to arrive on a date earlier than September 10 will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will only be considered if it is a requirement from the student’s host school. Due to continued delays in visa issuance, please do not make any promises to the school that we will be able to get a student in the US by a certain date – especially a date earlier than September 10.
