Students are expected to complete school assignments and homework and attend class, whether classes are offered in-person or virtually. A sincere and ongoing effort to remaining in good academic standing with the host school is expected.
We also expect that students may encounter new kinds questions and concerns pertaining to their academics, especially at the beginning of the year. Logging on to virtual platforms, self-structuring at-home studies, and less immediate availability from teachers are just few examples of challenges a student might encounter with their school this cycle. It is important that you know if your student has any questions or concerns, so that these can be addressed early. Stay in touch with your student and host family about their academics, especially as school protocols may change during the year.
If a school moves to a 100% online learning model after student arrivals, please notify the Participant Support Staff.
