AFS sent 45 American participants abroad during the Fall NH20 program and approximately 20 during Spring SH21, despite the many visa challenges faced. AFS is still monitoring the visa processes and additional requirements created by consulates, embassies, and governments.
It is important to recognize that there could be delays in travel due to visa issues as the Study Abroad team works to be able to provide the most up-to-date information and requirements for visa applications.
Additionally, it is likely that delays will continue in the processing of visa applications by the consulates and embassies.
As consulates and embassies reopen, AFS will continue to work with applicants in determining the appropriate steps to take in securing a visa.
