Volunteer Roles Overview

The volunteer roles included in this section are some of the key roles at AFS, and each active link directs you to a job description with an overview of the tasks and training required.

How the different volunteer roles and tasks are organized within a team is determined by what works best in your team. This is developed by the volunteer leadership within your team in consultation and with support from Field Staff and the local volunteers.

Below are volunteer job descriptions categorized by the activity/department they work most closely with. Some volunteer positions work with multiple departments.
